Business LIVE! at Disneyland® Paris Student Conference Event

Business LIVE! is a fantastic opportunity to bring the curriculum to life and inspire your students' future careers.

Expert and live speaker presentations aim to bring key curriculum topics to life and provide students with access to information and case studies that they can't find in a textbook. Students are given a workbook with challenges to complete in the Parks making the event an immersive educational experience aimed at seeing Business in action. 

There will also be the opportunity for students to ask questions of the industry practitioners and learn about careers associated with the subject during the interactive question and answer sessions.

Who Is This For?

Key Stage 4 & 5 students of Business. The event is designed to complement studies across the AQA, OCR, Edexcel, WJEC and SAQ curriculums. It is designed to meet course aims by encouraging and developing enthusiasm for studying business and provide quality case studies for exams.

Jess Mally

Jess Mally is an experienced antiracism educator, writer, speaker, consultant and more. After spending 8 years in the charitable sector, they co-founded the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) agency BELOVD Agency; as well as building the consultancy frameworks, writing and delivering workshops, Jess spent over 2 years actively consulting business across various industries.
 
Jess' lived experience and engaging style will give your students the chance to learn about bringing about structural change within a business to create safer, fairer, and more equitable workplaces.

Liv Little - Facilitator

Liv is a writer and broadcaster and the founder of the magazine ‘gal-dem’, that provided a platform for stories about female and non-binary people of colour. Her work spans journalism, audio, TV and curatorial projects for which she’s received various accolades, including LGBTQI+ Broadcaster of The Year and Rising Star at Wow. 

Liv has fronted projects for multiple brands including Absolut, Squarespace, Links of London, MAC, Samsung and Google. She has also partnered with a number of fashion houses such as Ganni, Chloé and Clavin Klein.

Liv is most at peace in nature, and she now lives by the sea. Her debut novel, Rosewater, was published in April 2023 (Dialogue).

Liv will feature as Facilitator for Computing LIVE! on 24th February only.

Sean Spooner

Sean Spooner is a 28-year-old marketing entrepreneur, content creator and speaker. He has launched, operated and grown his own companies since the age of 14 and is the co-founder and Operations Director of Patter, one of the fastest-growing marketing consultancies in South Wales delivering strategy and marketing campaigns for clients around the world.

With impressive experience in business setup and a passion as a speaker to focus and motivate, Sean will pass on valuable knowledge to your students about setting up, marketing and growing a business.

Kate Hardcastle

Kate Hardcastle is a highly respected and successful businesswoman with award winning success in delivering commercial & successful ventures and partnerships.

In addition to 20 years experience, founding business transformation organisation Insight With Passion, Kate has forged a highly successful media career. Kate is the go-to business expert for BBC TV & Radio, ITV and Sky News giving her own comment and opinion. Kate has also received MBE Queens Honour for Business & Entrepreneurship in 2018.

Q&A Session

Our lively and interactive question and answer session gives the students control to ask the questions they want answers to.  All the speakers take to the stage to answer questions to provide different perspectives and to offer invaluable career advice from their own experience.

Workbook and Park Challenges

Our complementary workbooks are designed to be used as your group enjoy the Disney® Parks.  The workbooks contain park challenges which encourage students to take a step back and critically appraise the resort from their subject perspective. These park challenges provide opportunity for problem solving, decision making as well as working together so that your students get the maximum from the their time at Disneyland® Paris.
